John House Raise over £8,000 for Kids for Kids

Bishop Thomas Grant School’s four houses, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John will be working hard again this year to beat last year’s total charity collection of over £17,000.

Each of the four houses also has its own individual charity, Kids for Kids being the chosen charity for John House under the leadership of Head of Geography Ms Wilson, and over the last four years John House has raised over £8,000 for Kids for Kids – a phenomenal achievement.

To mark the exceptional contribution made by Bishop Thomas Grant’s John House to Kids for Kids, Deputy Headteacher Miss Murray arranged for the Chairman and founder of Kids for Kids Patricia Parker to speak at an assembly about the work of the charity in Darfur where poverty and malnourishment are still prevalent.

A rather nice surprise greeted the students in the form of Patrick Doyle, former Bishop Thomas Grant student and now a successful businessman who is a Trustee of Kids for Kids in his spare time.
