The desert is creeping south at a rate of three miles a year in Darfur which is at the forefront of global warming. Planting trees will help hold back the desert. Donate a tree today on behalf of a loved one and help us turn the desert green again!
What sort of trees do we plant?
Kids for Kids plants over 14 different varieties of trees in Darfur including Neem, Moringa, Baobab, Nabuk and Citrus Fruit Trees, and Acacia Senegal. These provide important byproducts that we teach people to use, help to reforest the desert, give fruit to hungry children and provide shade from the hot desert sun. Most important of all, they stabilise the desert and create a mini climate. Fruit provides excellent nutrition, and having this food source close at hand is even more important in these troubled times, when venturing away from home is dangerous.

£15 ($19) plants three trees outside straw huts in our villages to provide shade and fruit
£37 ($46) plants five drought resistant trees to help stop desertification
£45 ($56) is enough for 20 fruit trees in a village
