Cycle Kerala, India in October 2020
What better way to spend a week in October than by heading on down to warm South India?!
Known as Venice of the East, Kerala is a magical state in South India full of tranquil waterways and backwaters. This year we are encouraging a group of our supporters to join a fantastic cycling fundraising trip from 2nd to 10th October 2020! Your trip will include fantastic views over varying landscapes as you cycle 60 to 80km each day. Begin the week in Kochi, head on to Munnar, Vandenmedu, and finally to Alleppey. If you are looking for a fitness challenge, a way to support a cause you love, and a most unforgettable experience – you’ve found it!
The challenge will take you on a journey up and over fragrant spice fields, forests and vibrant green tea plantations and have you exploring the lush and exotic landscape. Best of all you will meet the most welcoming people and eat incredibly South Indian meals along the way!
To take part in this challenge there is a registration fee of £349 and a commitment to raise £3,200 in sponsorship. As the cost of the tour is £1,700, this means £1,849 (or more depending on what wonderful amounts you raise!!) will go directly to helping children and families in Darfur, Sudan, living in the most unimaginable conditions of poverty. Included in the tour cost is your return flights, accommodation (hotels and lodges), transfers, full medical support, experienced guides and support team, water and all meals except on one free day!
If you have any questions about how to raise funds, please take a look at the fundraising ideas on our Get Involved page, or get in touch with us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. We would be more than happy to send you promotional materials, and support your fundraising efforts! Our supporters often find that holding an event to raise funds brings in more money than just simply asking for sponsorship from family and friends. Why not host a quiz night and charge an entrance fee?!
This challenge is fully supported by Classic Challenges throughout the trip, and more information about how to sign up can be found on their website here.
