Glyndebourne in the Garden
This is in the lovely grounds of a private house in Reigate. We are so lucky to have such special friends to put on wonderful events for us! The committee were very excited at all their plans for the evening and have planned a really memorable event.
The musicians all gave their services free, so that every penny possible went towards our projects in Darfur. It is a real tribute when such talented people are so generous!
Thanks go to the team work behind the scenes to create an evening of unforgettable music, friendship and such magnificent surroundings. Patricia Parker, Chairman of Kids for Kids thanked our hostess Mrs Angela Haeems for so generously providing an unforgettable venue, set against the Surrey hills.

The Surrey Committee has really taken off this year! Our first event of the year was a wonderful COOKERY DEMONSTRATION and LUNCH by TOURAN REES of Persian Cooking. It was delicious, looked wonderful and she made it all seem easy! DIANA was our hostess and we were lucky enough to be able to eat in her lovely garden for the first time this year. Patricia came gave an inspirational talk - and the lunch raised the most ever for such an intimate occasion - £569! Well done TOURAN and thank you!
This is one of a little series of Cookery Days we have had - from pastry to puddings and cookery from around the world. Our next planned treat will be ITALIAN COOKING. If you think you know how to prepare pasta - think again! You have never tasted the wonderful cooking of ANNA TREVOR-BRISCOE! As these demonstrations take place in friends houses numbers are limited! If you would like to come please ring Angela now! 07810752976

The TALK by Celebrity NewsReader NICHOLAS OWEN was an enormous success and thanks go to Angela Haeems and the team for providing us all with such a happy evening. It was an enormous privilege to hear first hand the anecdotes and insights of this inspirational man.
Sylvia and Jacky have been great Ambassadors - visiting local groups to give talks about KIDS FOR KIDS. It is wonderful to have such enthusiastic supporters - and lovely when we get messages to say how well they have done.
